HM Worksite Advantage
Disability Income
The HM Worksite Advantage Disability Income product is a hybrid, incorporating many desirable features of traditional group with Worksite disability products.
Our plan provides income replacement benefits based on the total wages of the insured employee for a covered disability resulting from an accident or illness. Both total and partial disability benefits are available and three maximum benefit levels of coverage are available. For injuries and illnesses related to a pre-existing condition such as pregnancy, benefits are paid for six weeks at 50% of the amount paid for total disability.
- Coverage is guaranteed issue for all group sizes when participation requirements are met
- Benefit amounts up to $750 weekly are guaranteed issue when the group meets 20% participation
- Weekly benefit amounts up to $1,750
- 13- or 26-week coverage periods
- Three maximum benefit levels are available
based on income:
- Plan I – up to 50% of wages
- Plan II – up to 60% of wages
- Plan III – up to 70% of wages
- Simplified underwriting will be used to approve amounts in excess of guaranteed issue
- Premium rates are based on five-year attained age bands
- Non-occupational coverage
